First
things first! Wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap and hot water. Make
sure your counters are wiped clean with hot water and paper towels. Since
you're making bread, it is always better to keep everything clean. Imagine
finding a hair in your bread. Yuk!
In my picture you see me washing my hands while I snap a photo! You can

OK,
now wipe clean the inside of the bread machine as well. There may be dust
in there or old bread crumbs from the last batch of bread you made. Who
knows, there could be a spider web in there! Not in my case, but it's
always a good idea to keep it clean.
My bread machine's container has a non-stick surface so there was no
reason to spray anything to keep the bread from sticking.

Here's
the setup. I've got the 1.5 pound bread machine, Fleishmann's (tm) Bread
Machine Mix, and a measuring cup. You may also need a measuring
tablespoon. |
OK,
I opened the lid and took out the bread container. That's where the dough
is made and heated into bread. You don't use this machine with an oven
unless you set it to only make dough. Those situations are generally for
making pizza dough or any other bread related product that is not baked
into a loaf shape. |
According
to the instructions on the bread mix box, I am measuring 3/4 of a cup of
water. In this case, I am not using tap water. The box does not give
specific instructions about this, however I am just being picky. If you
already have bottled water, I'd suggest that you use it. If not, don't
worry about it. |
My
bread mix instructed to add just 2 more tablespoons of water in addition
to the 3/4 cup of water.
From what I have been told, getting the exact measurement of water is
very important in creating a good loaf of bread. So, measure carefully.
